Işık Tarım's Zonguldak-Ormanlı Hazelnut Facility is located in a central position where our organic hazelnut projects are located. Hazelnuts produced within the scope of our Happy Hazelnut project are classified according to organic or social certificates and stored in separate storage areas and silos in our factory after completing the tests at the raw material acceptance stage.

Our Zonguldak-Ormanlı facility has a shelling and processing capacity of 28 thousand tons of shelled raw material per year. The shelled products are processed on lines equipped with high-tech Laser and X-Ray machines. After machine control, the sorting operations are reviewed by our workers who perform visual inspection on the production lines.

Our integrated hazelnut factory also produces roasted hazelnuts, raw hazelnuts, chopped hazelnuts, hazelnut flour, and hazelnut puree.

Packaging operations are carried out with different packaging options consisting of big bags, kraft bags, bulk, vacuum, and small grammage packages depending on the type of product and our customers' demands. IBC and HDPE plastic and metal containers are used for hazelnut puree.

Finally, our packaged organic products pass through a metal detector, final quality controls are performed, and they are delivered to our customers or consumers.

5S LEAN PRODUCTION STRATEGY

5S can become an important work tool and a driving force for an effective Kaizen continuous improvement environment. In a 5S environment, our employees feel a sense of responsibility, ownership, and participation. Additionally, waste reduction, quality, and productivity increases are achieved.

Işık Tarım production facilities are covered with solar panels, and a significant portion of our production facilities' energy needs are met by these panels. Because as a renewable energy source, solar energy plays an important role in reducing greenhouse gas emissions and mitigating climate change; this is critical for protecting people, wildlife, and ecosystems. Solar energy can also improve air quality and reduce water usage from energy production.

We care about the future, we care about nature, our own health, and the health of others.
